Can I book flights / hotels / car rental through Withalocal?

Withalocal experiences are independent sightseeing tours, daily excursions, attractions and other cultural activities in Latin America. If you want to see further information and ideas about traveling to Latin America, you can find a variety of travel articles in our blog.

Can I book over the telephone?
Withalocal is an online booking service. We do not make bookings over the phone.
How do I create a Withalocal account?
To create a Withalocal account, simply click on ‘Login’ in the navigation. You can use your Facebook or Google account to simplify account creation, or use your existing email address.
Do I need to create a Withalocal account to book a tour?
Yes. You need to create a Withalocal account to book an experience. You will have access to your booking in the website anytime and you will be able to contact your host directly by doing so.
How do I make a booking?
Select an experience. Select a date and host and press the button to check availability. Only available dates will be highlighted. You will then be prompted to select your desired starting time (if applicable) and the number of persons in your group. Then click ‘Continue’. Fill in your personal information and payment details on the following page. After that click ‘Confirm booking’. Once you submit your booking the reservation will be confirmed. In most cases booking is confirmed immediately after purchase or in the next few hours - unless indicated otherwise on the activity description. You will receive the confirmation via email.
How do I book more than one tour?
You must book an experience first. After completing the process, you will have the chance to book another one.
Is paying through Withalocal safe?
Paying for activities on Withalocal is safe and secure. We use Stripe as a third-party payment provider. Withalocal never saves your card credentials or other information regarding your payment option. 
Why some experiences are asked to be paid part in cash to the host?
In some cases, you may be asked to pay for some (or even a majority) part of your tour in cash directly to the local host at the start of the tour. This is necessary for hosts who live in those countries where banking systems make electronic transfer and/or issuing and cashing of drafts extremely expensive.  
What happens if I want to cancel a booking?
If you need to cancel your booking, simply Login and go to ‘Your Bookings’. Click the arrow on the activity you would like to cancel and click ‘Cancel’. Bookings have cancellations policy that determines if you are eligible for a full refund. Up to 7 seven days before the beginning of the activity you will have full refund less 3% credit card fees costs.
What about insurance?
Most of our experiences are hosted by private individuals and they may not have insurance that covers you if something happens. Make sure you check that your travel insurance is valid for the experiences you are attending.
How can I contact my host?
After booking an experience you might need help with directions to a meeting point, scheduling a pickup, making a special request for booking, or asking specific details about your activity. By emailing local hosts directly, you can have your questions answered quickly and easily. We strongly recommend you carry out all your communications with your host via email in your Withalocal account. And you will receive your local host phone number with your confirmation just for emergency purpose.
