We visited Buenos Aires and Mendoza, a good mix of the city and the vineyards. In BA we enjoyed a traditional Asado, in the house of our local host! Got to meet his family and some friends, this is indeed a wonderful way to experience the local ambiance and culture.
Buenos Aires is a busy city, lots of shopping centers and street shops. Our local host took us to see a jewelry designer downtown where we got a lapis lazuli charm and earrings set. Then, after coffee and pastry, we visited a cellar where little known wineries sell their limited production to the selected few on the know, our host was excellent translating back and forth and selecting a couple of whites to bring back home.
